The Best Florida Resorts

Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami
Florida Resorts
For when you want a luxury escape that still feels easygoing
If you’re looking for a resort that feels like a true getaway, but without giving up the energy and perks of Miami, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne is exactly that. This is one of my top picks! It’s tucked away on a peaceful barrier island, just across the bridge from the city, but it feels like you’ve been transported somewhere far more remote. Quiet beaches, ocean breezes, and a sense of calm from the moment you arrive.
The lobby alone sets the tone: elegant without being over the top, with high ceilings, polished marble, and just enough “wow” factor to make you pause. The staff are genuinely kind and helpful, they somehow know what you need before you do (seriously, it’s like magic).
Where You’ll Sleep
The rooms here are everything you’d hope for in a Ritz: roomy, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The beds are ridiculously plush (you’ll want to take the pillows home), and the views are incredible, I stayed in an ocean view room, and honestly, I could’ve spent the whole day just staring out at the water.
What to Do
You can do as much or as little as you want. Lounge by the pool, nap on the beach, or book a treatment at the spa (which I definitely recommend). If you are into sports, there is tennis, golf nearby, kayaking, paddleboarding… it’s all here. And if you’re traveling with kids, the Ritz Kids program is fantastic, they’ll be happy and entertained, which means you get some actual downtime.
Where to Eat
At the time of writing, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne is undergoing renovations, so later this year we’ll get to see what new dining concepts they unveil. In the past, the resort featured seven restaurant and bar venues, each offering a mix of global flavors and stylish interiors. From Cantina Beach, known for its beachfront setting and vibrant South American-inspired dishes, to the relaxed Caribbean charm of Rumbar, there’s always been something unique to discover here and I can’t wait to see how they reimagine it all.

Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach
Florida Resorts
For when you want refined luxury without all the fuss
If you’re heading to Palm Beach and want somewhere that feels luxurious without being over the top, I highly recommend the Four Seasons. It is one of the very best Florida resorts. It’s honestly one of the few resorts I’ve stayed at where everything just felt easy. It’s beautiful, of course, but not flashy or pretentious. Just really thoughtful, relaxed, and genuinely comfortable.
As soon as I walked into the lobby, I got that sense of calm. The whole place feels light and fresh, and the design is elegant without trying too hard. You can tell they’ve put care into every detail, but in a way that feels natural. And the staff is so kind and attentive without hovering. I felt taken care of right away, which is exactly what I needed.
Where You’ll Sleep
I stayed in one of the ocean-view rooms, and it was exactly what I was hoping for, bright, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The ocean view was incredible, clear, wide open, and exactly what I wanted to wake up to. And the bed was seriously comfortable. Not too soft, not too firm, just right after a long day out. I ended up spending a lot of time out on the balcony, soaking in the views between beach walks and dinner.
What to Do
Whether you’re in the mood to relax or get active, there’s plenty to keep you happy here. You can sip a drink by the pool, stroll the beach in the morning, or try your hand at paddleboarding or kayaking. I gave paddleboarding a shot one morning, it was harder than it looks, but being out on the water made it totally worth it. The ocean was warm and calm, and there’s something really fun about trying something new. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, they even offer surf lessons.
If you prefer to relax the spa is worth booking in advance. There’s also a solid fitness center and tennis courts if that’s more your thing. And if you’ve got kids with you, the Kids Club program is genuinely great. Our son had a blast, he came back from one of the sessions talking non-stop about the beach scavenger hunt they did and the cool crafts they made. It gave him something fun to do, and it gave us a little time to relax on our own. Win-win.
Where to Eat
The food was definitely a highlight. Florie’s, the main restaurant, served some of the best meals we had on the trip, fresh, Mediterranean-style dishes that were flavorful and beautifully prepared without feeling overcomplicated. For something more casual, we loved Seaway, the resort’s oceanfront spot tucked under the palm trees. We had lunch there a couple of times, it was relaxed, breezy, and the seafood-focused menu had plenty of great options.

Waldorf Astoria Orlando
An Official Walt Disney World® Hotel
Florida Resorts
For when you want luxury and theme park access without sacrificing either
If you’re planning a trip to Orlando and want to be close to Disney without diving headfirst into all the noise and chaos, the Waldorf Astoria Orlando is a solid choice. It’s refined and elegant but still feels approachable, it’s the kind of place where you can dress up for dinner or show up in flip-flops and still feel right at home.
As soon as we walked into the lobby, I knew we were in good hands. Everything felt polished and the decor was beautiful. The staff was warm and professional, and the whole place had that classic Waldorf style, but with a bit of fun mixed in, thanks to its location near the Disney parks.
Where You’ll Sleep
The room was exactly what I expected, comfortable, quiet, and well thought out. We had a great view of the Disney fireworks from our window, which was such a fun way to end the day. The two queen beds gave us plenty of space to spread out, and after long days walking around the parks, we all crashed pretty hard each night.
What to Do
If you’re planning to visit Walt Disney World, the location couldn’t be better, you’re just minutes from the parks, but far enough to enjoy a quiet, luxurious retreat. And if you’re squeezing in a day at SeaWorld or Universal, those are still within easy driving distance.
I didn’t get a chance to use the spa this time; we were too busy running around the Disney parks from morning to night, but I’ve heard great things about it. If you’re planning a more relaxed trip or can carve out some downtime, it’s definitely something to consider for a little extra recharge.
Where to Eat
We had some great meals here. Bull & Bear really lived up to the hype, my steak was incredible, and my husband and son were just as happy with their meals, clean plates all around, which doesn’t always happen with the three of us. Aquamarine was a perfect way to wind down after a long day walking around Disney, casual, poolside dining with fresh, flavorful dishes and a relaxed atmosphere that hit the spot. We also grabbed coffee and breakfast from the on-site café most mornings, and the poolside grill was perfect for a quick lunch in between plans.
If you’re looking for a resort in Orlando that gives you easy access to the theme parks but still delivers a full luxury experience, this is it. It’s calm, beautifully run, and makes coming “home” after a long park day something to actually look forward to. We tacked on an extra day at the end just to enjoy more of the resort itself, that’s how much we liked it.

The Breakers Palm Beach
Florida Resorts
For when you want classic luxury with everything at your fingertips
If you’re heading to Palm Beach and want a resort that really delivers on both luxury and history, The Breakers is a standout. It’s grand in every way and I just love staying here! You can dress up for dinner or walk around in your pool cover-up and feel equally at home. Everything is beautifully maintained, thoughtfully designed, and backed by service that actually lives up to the hype.
Walking into the lobby is kind of a moment. It’s absolutely stunning with vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, rich details everywhere. It’s elegant in that old-world, grand hotel kind of way and it really sets the tone for the rest of the resort.
Where You’ll Sleep
Our room was elegant and classic, with modern updates that made it super functional too. We had a view of the ocean, which was definitely a treat. The beds were really comfortable, and the layout gave us more than enough space to settle in for a few nights.
What to Do
There’s a lot to do here, whether you’re traveling as a couple or with family. There are four pools to choose from, including an adults-only option that was especially quiet and relaxing. One of the other pools is more family-friendly, but it never felt loud or crowded.
The beach is just steps away, and while you can rent gear for paddleboarding, snorkeling, or kayaking, we opted to just lounge in the sun and take it easy. Sometimes doing nothing is exactly what you need.
We did book a couples massage at the spa, and it was absolutely worth it, one of the best we’ve had. The space was calm and beautifully designed, and it really felt like a treat in the middle of our stay.
If you like to stay active, there’s a great fitness center, tennis courts, gorgeous golf course and even group classes available.
Where to Eat
We had several great meals on property. The Seafood Bar was our favorite, the food was excellent, and the setting right by the water made it even better. We also tried Echo, which had a fun, slightly more casual vibe and delicious Asian-inspired dishes. HMF was perfect for cocktails and small plates in the evening, it felt upscale but still relaxed. Honestly, there’s something for everyone food-wise, and it was really convenient not having to leave the resort for anything.
The Breakers is hard to beat. It’s beautiful, historic, and full of little extras that make the stay feel special.

Setai Miami Beach
Florida Resorts
For when you want sleek, modern luxury right in the heart of South Beach
If you’re heading to Miami Beach and want to stay somewhere that feels calm, stylish, and totally elevated, The Setai is a great choice. It’s right in the middle of South Beach, but once you step inside, it feels like you’ve left the noise behind. Everything is beautifully designed, and the vibe is more understated elegance than flashy, which I really appreciated.
The lobby is warm and striking, with dark wood, calming music, and a kind of minimalist luxury that instantly makes you feel like you’re on vacation.
Where You’ll Sleep
Our room felt more like a sleek Miami apartment than a typical hotel room. It was modern, spacious, and full of thoughtful touches, from the softest linens to the gorgeous stone bathroom. We had a view of the city skyline and beach, which was especially pretty at night. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the blackout curtains came in handy after late nights and slow mornings.
What to Do
One of the things I loved most about The Setai was how easy it was to unwind. There are three beautiful pools, each at a different temperature, so you can pick your favorite and settle in for the day. We also spent a lot of time down at the beach, it’s just steps away, and the staff had chairs, umbrellas, and towels ready to go.
We also squeezed in a spa visit, which I highly recommend. The space was quiet and calming, and the massage was absolutely top-tier. It felt like a real escape within an escape.
If you’re into fitness, there’s a well-equipped gym on site, and they offer yoga and meditation classes as well. But honestly, we were there to rest, and we did.
Where to Eat
We ate at Jaya one night, and it was fantastic. The menu leans Asian-inspired, and everything we ordered was flavorful and beautifully plated. The Ocean Grill is perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner by the beach; we had fresh seafood and a glass of rosé and just lingered. The Bar & Courtyard is a great spot for cocktails in the evening, especially with the string lights and live music, it had a romantic, almost hidden-away feel to it.
If you’re looking for a resort that blends modern design with total comfort and gives you the best of South Beach without the crowds, The Setai really delivers. It felt like a true couples’ getaway: quiet, luxurious, and just easy in all the right ways.

Acqualina Resort & Residences
Florida Resorts
For when you want oceanfront luxury without lifting a finger
If you’re dreaming of a Florida getaway that feels calm, indulgent, and a little bit over-the-top (in the best way), Acqualina in Sunny Isles Beach is the one. From the second we pulled up, it felt more like arriving at a private estate than a hotel. The whole vibe is elegant, everything from the service to the setting is dialed in to help you relax, recharge, and not worry about a thing.
The lobby feels grand but welcoming, with fresh flowers, ocean views, and just the right amount of luxury. It immediately set the tone for what turned out to be a pretty unforgettable stay.
Where You’ll Sleep
Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a clean, coastal feel. We had a private balcony overlooking the ocean, waking up to that view each morning was one of the best parts of the trip. Everything was high-end without being fussy, from the linens to the bathroom finishes. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and you could tell a lot of thought went into the details.
What to Do
Acqualina has three oceanfront pools, including one for adults and one for families, all surrounded by palms and plenty of lounge space. We spent most of our time by the adults-only pool, and it was so relaxing. The beach at Acqualina is incredible, soft white sand, clear turquoise water, and just the right amount of space to feel relaxed without being crowded. It’s one of those beaches you actually want to spend hours on, and the ocean was warm and calm the entire time we were there.
We were traveling with another couple, and while our husbands stayed out on the beach, my friend and I decided to check out the spa’s relaxation area. We spent the afternoon rotating between the crystal steam room and the ice fountain, which was both refreshing and kind of addicting. It was quiet, beautifully designed, and felt like such a nice little escape within the resort.
Where to Eat
Dining at Acqualina was a real treat. Avra Miami was a favorite, fresh Mediterranean dishes, amazing seafood, and a setting that made us feel like we were dining somewhere along the coast of Greece. Ke-uH had some of the best sushi we’ve had in Florida, and Costa Grill was perfect for a laid-back beachfront lunch. We also had dinner at Il Mulino New York, which was everything you’d expect from a classic upscale Italian spot.
If you’re looking for a resort where everything is taken care of, the views are stunning, and the atmosphere is all about relaxing in luxury, Acqualina is hard to beat. It felt like a true escape, from everyday life and even from the typical Florida resort scene. We left feeling totally recharged and are already talking about going back.

Ocean Key Resort – A Noble House Resort
Florida Resorts
For when you want tropical energy with a splash of luxury
We visited Ocean Key Resort for a family member’s wedding in Key West, and it turned out to be one of the most fun (and lively) weekends we’ve had in a long time. The location couldn’t be better, right on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico with nonstop water views and the kind of laid-back, tropical atmosphere Key West is known for.
Even with all the energy around us, the resort still felt elevated and thoughtfully run. It was the perfect mix of festive and refined, which made it a great setting for a destination wedding and a great place to unwind in between the celebrations.
Where You’ll Sleep
Our room was bright, comfortable, and full of character. The décor leaned tropical-chic with thoughtful touches throughout, plush bedding, a spacious layout, and a private balcony where we could catch glimpses of the Gulf and enjoy the breeze. Everything felt fresh and well maintained, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, which we appreciated after long nights dancing and celebrating.
What to Do
The pool area is a total scene, colorful, fun, and surrounded by ocean views. We spent time lounging there during the day, grabbing drinks from the pool bar, and soaking it all in. The beach is just steps away, and we made the most of it, everything from jet skiing to fishing off the pier. It is the kind of place where you could be as active or relaxed as you wanted to be.
Key West’s sunsets are legendary, and Ocean Key gives you front-row seats. Between the wedding events and our own downtime, we made sure to carve out time on the Sunset Pier with a drink in hand, there’s live music almost every evening, and the atmosphere is upbeat and unforgettable.
We didn’t make it to the spa on this trip, but SpaTerre looked amazing. If we go back, it’s definitely on my list.
Where to Eat
Hot Tin Roof was the standout. We had brunch there the morning after the wedding, and everything from the Caribbean-inspired dishes to the ocean views was top-notch. Sunset Pier is a more casual option and was perfect for cocktails, live music, and people-watching as the sun went down. It was lively without being overwhelming, just fun, easygoing Key West energy.
Ocean Key Resort really captured everything we love about Key West: a stunning location, beautiful rooms, great food, and a fun, festive atmosphere. It felt special and the setting made the family wedding even more memorable. If you’re looking for a waterfront resort that’s equal parts vibrant and relaxing, this is a fantastic choice.

Florida resorts
Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour
Florida Resorts
For when you want laid-back luxury in one of Miami’s most exclusive beach enclaves
I’m going to be honest; this is the only hotel on this list that I haven’t personally stayed at yet. But I included it because it consistently gets glowing reviews, and one of my most travel-savvy (and very picky!) friends swears it’s her favorite place to stay in the Miami area. Based on everything she’s told me and reviews I have read, it sounds like an incredible option if you’re looking for a quieter, more refined beach escape. Plus, it’s The Ritz-Carlton, after all, luxury is what they do best.
Where You’ll Sleep
The décor is modern coastal with floor-to-ceiling windows and stunning views of the Atlantic or the Intracoastal Waterway. Every room has a balcony, and if you’re anything like me, that alone is a huge selling point. My friend said the beds are unbelievably comfortable and the marble bathrooms feel like a private spa.
What to Do
If you’re in the mood to relax, the outdoor pool looks like a dream, luxurious cabanas, full poolside service, and ocean views all around. There’s also a private stretch of beach, which gives it that quiet, tucked-away feel that’s sometimes hard to find in Miami. If you like to stay active, the spa & fitness boutique is on-site with oceanfront yoga, steam rooms, and more.
Where to Eat
The on-site restaurant, Artisan Beach House, focuses on fresh local ingredients with globally inspired flavors, exactly the kind of upscale-but-not-stuffy dining experience I love. The lounge offers a more casual option with cocktails and light bites, and both have gorgeous water views. My friend specifically mentioned the service being thoughtful and consistent throughout her stay, something that always stands out to me too.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, elevated alternative to the energy of South Beach, The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour sounds like a perfect fit. It’s elegant, intimate, and set in one of Miami’s most exclusive neighborhoods. I haven’t been yet, but it’s high on my list and based on everything I’ve heard, it’s well worth considering for your next oceanfront getaway.

Florida resorts
Isla Bella Beach Resort & Spa
Florida Resorts
For when you want a laid-back Keys getaway the whole family will love
We took a family trip to Isla Bella Beach Resort in Marathon, Florida, and it ended up being the perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and oceanfront beauty. It’s tucked along a quieter stretch of the Florida Keys, but the resort itself has everything you need to keep everyone happy, whether you’re traveling with kids, as a couple, or just looking to soak up some sun.
From the moment we arrived, the resort felt spacious, modern, and peaceful in the best way. Set on 24 oceanfront acres, it had that Keys charm but with a more polished, elevated feel, nothing too fancy, just really well done.
Where You’ll Sleep
Our room was clean, bright, and super comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private terrace looking out over the water. Waking up to those ocean views each morning was a highlight. The space worked well for us as a family, we had plenty of room to spread out, and the beds were incredibly comfortable after long days in the sun.
What to Do
With five pools, a long private beach, and activities right on site, we were never bored. My son loved jumping between the pools and beach, and one of the highlights for all of us was booking a family boat tour from the marina right at the resort. It was a fun way to get out on the water and see more of the Keys from a different perspective.
There was also plenty of space to just relax with a book under an umbrella, which my husband and I definitely took advantage of.
The resort offers bike rentals, lawn games, and even hammocks scattered throughout the property, which gave it a playful, family-friendly vibe without ever feeling crowded or chaotic.
I did check out the spa’s relaxation area while my husband and son hung out at the pool, and I also booked the Earth to Heaven Ritual Package, and it was incredible. The treatment started with a full-body exfoliation and ended with the most relaxing massage I’ve ever had. The ocean-view lounge and steam room were the cherry on top, quiet, calming, and beautifully designed. It was a real highlight of the trip and something I’d absolutely do again.
Where to Eat
We had dinner at Mahina one night, and it was a standout, fresh seafood, local ingredients, and a menu that was creative without being overly fussy. The Beach Bar was our go-to for lunch and snacks by the pool, and we appreciated having a café and market on-site for quick coffees and grab-and-go options when we didn’t feel like sitting down for a full meal.
Isla Bella really hit the sweet spot for our family: it was relaxing for the adults, fun for our son, and absolutely gorgeous from every angle. It felt like a modern take on the classic Keys vacation, less rustic, more refined, but still full of that easygoing island charm.

White Elephant Palm Beach
Florida Resorts
For when you want a chic, coastal escape that’s perfect for a girls’ trip
I took a girls’ trip to White Elephant Palm Beach with my sister, and it was everything we were hoping for, stylish, relaxing, and just the right amount of indulgent. The hotel is tucked into the heart of Palm Beach, just a short walk from the beach, and it somehow manages to feel both polished and low-key at the same time. From the moment we arrived, we could tell this was going to be a fun one.
It’s a boutique property with a design-forward feel, that was really well done, with thoughtful details everywhere.
Where You’ll Sleep
Our suite was beautiful, bright, modern, and super comfortable. The space had a clean, contemporary look with calming neutral tones and custom furnishings. We had plenty of room to unpack, spread out, and lounge without feeling cramped. The beds were insanely comfortable, and the linens were the kind that make you want to sleep in a little longer than you should (which we definitely did).
What to Do
The hotel has a lovely outdoor pool surrounded by palms and greenery, and we spent a lot of our time lounging there with books and iced coffees. They even brought around little poolside treats, which was such a nice surprise.
One of the highlights of our stay was getting complimentary access to The Cove Club, which is just a short drive away. It’s a private waterfront spot in West Palm Beach with a floating dock, pool, restaurant, and bar. We spent the afternoon there enjoying lunch and a few cocktails with live music playing in the background. it felt like a little mini day trip in the middle of our stay.
Where to Eat
Lola 41, the hotel’s signature restaurant, was fantastic. The menu is globally inspired, and everything we ordered, from sushi to seafood, was fresh and full of flavor. It had a fun, lively atmosphere that was perfect for a night out, and it was so nice to be able to just walk upstairs when we were done.
White Elephant Palm Beach was exactly the kind of spot we were looking for on a sister getaway, stylish, quiet, close to everything, and filled with small touches that made the stay feel special. Whether you’re planning a girls’ trip, a romantic weekend, or just want to treat yourself, this place is a total win.

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort
Florida Resorts
For when you want five-star luxury and a full dose of Disney magic
Here’s another great option when visiting Disney, especially if you want a resort that delivers both incredible amenities and that signature Four Seasons service. My husband, son, and I stayed at Four Seasons Resort Orlando, and it was one of the best decisions we made for our trip. It’s located within the gates of Walt Disney World, but it feels like a calm, elegant escape from all the park chaos.
From the moment we pulled up, everything felt seamless. The property is beautiful, lush, quiet, and thoughtfully designed and the staff made us feel welcome right away.
Where You’ll Sleep
Our room was spacious, quiet, and absolutely spotless, exactly what you hope for after long days in the parks. The beds were incredibly comfortable (classic Four Seasons), and the bathroom felt like a mini spa with a deep soaking tub and rainfall shower. Just like at the Waldorf, we had a balcony view of the fireworks, which made every evening feel a little extra magical.
What to Do
The Explorer Island area is where we spent a lot of our downtime. Our son loved the lazy river and splash zone, and we all took turns racing down the waterslides. There’s also a beautiful family pool, a separate adults-only pool, and even a game room. It’s really set up to keep both kids and adults happy, whether you’re unwinding or still in full vacation mode.
The resort also offers complimentary transportation to all four Disney parks, which made things super easy. After full days in the parks, it was so nice to come back to a resort that felt calm and peaceful.
Where to Eat
We had some great meals on property. Ravello was perfect for breakfast (and they even offer a character breakfast on select days). One evening, we treated ourselves to dinner at Capa, the rooftop Spanish steakhouse, and it totally lived up to the hype. The views were amazing, and the food was even better. For something more relaxed, PB&G by the pool was ideal for casual dinners without sacrificing quality, and we grabbed snacks and coffee from Lickety Split a few mornings.
If you’re looking for a resort that makes your Disney vacation, feel even more magical without sacrificing luxury, Four Seasons Orlando is hard to beat. It’s fun for kids, relaxing for parents, and packed with thoughtful extras that really make a difference.

The Don CeSar
Florida Resorts
For when you want timeless elegance and Gulf Coast sunshine with a splash of nostalgia
The Don CeSar, affectionately known as the Pink Palace, is a true Florida icon. Perched on the sugar-white sands of St. Pete Beach, this rosy-hued legend has been turning heads since 1928. With its grand Mediterranean-style architecture and postcard-perfect views of the Gulf of Mexico, it blends vintage glamor with a relaxed, sun-soaked vibe that never goes out of style.
In my 20s, I lived in St. Pete Beach, just down the road in a tiny apartment. Anytime my family came to visit, they’d stay at The Don CeSar, which was a treat for them and for me. I’d head over for beach days, rooftop drinks, or just to soak up the magic of the place. It’s been a while since I’ve stayed there, but I have nothing but fond memories. I’ve heard it recently underwent a refresh, but let’s be honest, this is a Florida institution. I have no doubt it still shines.
Where You’ll Sleep
The rooms and suites are a thoughtful mix of historic charm and modern touches. Some overlook the sparkling Gulf, others the Intracoastal or the city, but every room feels elevated and inviting. If you’re traveling with a group or just want more space, the suites and penthouses are worth the splurge, especially the ones with private terraces and jaw-dropping sunset views.
What to Do
The Don’s beachfront pool scene is classic Florida at its best, sun loungers, cabanas, and that soft sea breeze rolling in. The beach is just steps away, and there’s something about the stretch of sand here that feels particularly dreamy. For extra indulgence, Spa Oceana is the move. With rooftop treatment rooms and a full menu of massages and facials, it’s a great way to unwind.
Where to Eat
Dining here has always been a highlight. Maritana is the upscale pick, known for its seafood-forward menu and elegant atmosphere. The Rowe Bar offers a more casual, toes-in-the-sand vibe with killer cocktails and unbeatable views of the sunset over the Gulf. Whether you’re in the mood to dress up or keep it breezy, there’s a spot for every occasion.
The Don CeSar isn’t just a hotel; it’s a piece of Florida history. From the pink façade to the storied past (this place hosted everyone from presidents to poets), it’s a resort that knows how to make you feel special. If you’re looking for Gulf views, beachside pampering, and that nostalgic, old-school glam that never tries too hard, this is the place.

The rooms and suites are beautifully appointed, with high ceilings, elegant furnishings, and views that stretch over Coral Gables, the golf course, or the resort’s iconic pool. Expect a mix of timeless style and modern comfort, plush bedding, marble bathrooms, and a quiet elegance that invites you to slow down and savor the moment. Some suites even offer private balconies or terraces if you want to really stretch out.
What to Do
The Biltmore is a golfer’s dream. The Donald Ross-designed course has been part of the hotel since the beginning and still offers a perfect balance of beauty and challenge. Don’t worry if you are not a golfer, no problem. The resort also has one of the largest (and most photogenic) hotel pools in the country, complete with cabanas and palm-lined views.
The spa here is another standout, Spa Biltmore is a true sanctuary. From body treatments to massages and facials, everything is designed for next-level relaxation. There’s also a full fitness center, tennis, and walking trails if you want to stay active.
Where to Eat
Food has always been a centerpiece at The Biltmore. Fontana is the star of the show, a romantic, open-air courtyard restaurant serving elevated Italian cuisine. The Biltmore Bar is a cozy spot for a cocktail or a light bite, perfect for unwinding after a day in the sun. Whether you’re in the mood for an elegant dinner or just want a glass of wine in a beautiful setting, the Biltmore has you covered.
Grand, graceful, and full of stories, this hotel offers a unique kind of escape where history and hospitality come together seamlessly. If you’re looking for a stay that feels both refined and historic, this one’s hard to beat.

Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection
Florida Resorts
For when you want a Florida Keys escape that blends tropical adventure with laid-back luxury
We took a family trip to Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection, and it felt like stepping into a dream. Set on 14.5 lush oceanfront acres in Key Largo, this resort delivers everything you hope for in a Florida Keys getaway, turquoise water, swaying palms, and the perfect mix of relaxation and fun.
Where You’ll Sleep
Our room was modern and spacious, with soft tones, luxe finishes, and thoughtful details that made it easy to settle in. We had an ocean view and a patio which was a peaceful place to sip coffee in the morning. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was large and spa-like with a rainfall shower that we all loved after long beach days.
What to Do
There’s no shortage of things to do here, but the pace is entirely up to you. We spent most mornings lounging by the pool or relaxing on the private white-sand beach, which had plenty of chairs and umbrellas and never felt overcrowded. Our son loved spending time in the pool, and we took full advantage of the resort’s water sports, snorkeling was a highlight, with calm, clear waters just off the beach. We also rented bikes one afternoon and explored the property and surrounding area, which was a fun way to see more of Key Largo at a relaxed pace.
The resort also has a beautiful spa if you’re in the mood for a little pampering, and plenty of spots just to relax in the shade with a book or a cocktail. One afternoon, we wandered down the pier at sunset, and it was pure Keys magic, breezy, golden light, and the sound of the water lapping against the dock.
Where to Eat
The food was a standout here. We had dinner at Sol by the Sea, the waterfront restaurant, and the setting alone was worth it with string lights, fresh seafood, and the kind of sunset that makes you put your phone down and just take it in. We also enjoyed breakfast at La Marea, where everything from tropical fruits to made-to-order omelets started the day off right. For a casual lunch, The Sandbar was our go-to, easy bites, cold drinks, and unbeatable beach views.
Playa Largo manages to be both luxurious and relaxed, stylish and family-friendly. From the waterfront sunsets to the friendly service and the thoughtful amenities, every part of the stay made us feel like we were truly on vacation.
